Hello, I’m Arun P S, a Bachelor of Computer Applications graduate with a strong interest in Cloud Computing, DevOps, Linux, and modern web technologies.
I started my technical journey through my BCA studies, where I developed an interest in software development and web technologies. During my studies, I worked with technologies such as React, Django, JavaScript, Python, MySQL, MongoDB, HTML, and CSS.
One of my main interests gradually became Cloud and DevOps. I became interested in how applications are deployed, monitored, secured, and maintained in real-world environments.
As part of my Cloud and DevOps learning, I have been working with technologies including Linux, AWS, Git, Ansible, Docker, Terraform, Jenkins, Nginx, and CI/CD. These technologies have helped me understand how development and infrastructure work together to deliver reliable applications.
Recently, I worked on a practical WordPress deployment using Ansible on an AWS EC2 server. The deployment involved configuring Nginx, PHP-FPM, MariaDB, SFTP access, a WordPress database, WordPress itself, and secure database credentials using Ansible Vault.
This project helped me understand an important DevOps principle: automation reduces repetitive manual work and makes infrastructure more consistent and reproducible.
I enjoy solving technical problems and troubleshooting issues. During this deployment, for example, an HTTP 500 error occurred because PHP-FPM could not read the WordPress configuration file. By checking the Nginx error log and testing the file permissions as the www-data user, I identified and corrected the problem.
My goal is to continue improving my skills in Cloud and DevOps and eventually work as a Cloud/DevOps Engineer. I want to gain real-world experience, work with production infrastructure, and continuously learn new technologies.
